Activities

Participation in teaching & educational activities at the Faculty of Geodesy (TU Delft), 1988-1992. Teaching of under- & post-graduate courses in AUTh (1995-2015): at the SRSE (DataBases -until 2015, Thematic Cartography, Cartographic Visualisation, History of Cartography, GIS, Introduction to Photogrammetry, Multimedia Applications and from 2015 also Non-Conventional Cartography, Science and Technology of the RSE); at the School of Architecture-AUTh, at the interdepartmental postgraduate programme of the Faculty of Engineering of the AUTh,  at the postgradute programme of the School of History and Archaeology (Faculty of Philosophy)-AUTh, as well as at the under- and post-graduate programme of studies of the School of Biology (Faculty of Sciences)-AUTh. Teaching in educational & training seminars organised by the National Documentation Centre (1992), the AUTh (1995) and the Institute of Education and Training for Technical Chamber of Greece Members (1996,1999). Visiting Professor at the ITC (International Institute for Geoinformation Science and Earth Observation, The Netherlands) and at the Department of Geography of the University of the Aegean (2002-2003). Research cooperation with the National Centre for Maps & Cartographic Heritage - National Maplibrary (2002-2003). Supervision of approx. 35 Diploma Theses, 18 postgraduate Theses and participation in the examination committees of approx. 55 other graduate and post- graduate Dipl. Theses. Supervision of four PhD Theses at the SRSE-AUTH, participation in the  advisory committee of six PhD Theses in SRSE-AUTH and the School of History and Archaeology-AUTH, participation in the examination committee of nine PhD Theses in the SRSE-AUTH, the Democritus University of Thrace, the RMIT University (Melbourne, Australia) and the University of Utrecht (Netherlands).
