| On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the birth of Righas Velestinlis (1757-1798), the bright master of the Greek Risorgimento who published in Vienna (1796-97) his 12-sheet Charta, a cartographic masterpiece and a monument of Greek Enlightenment, the Faculty of Surveying Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in cooperation with the AUTH Cartography Group and the Hellenic Cartographic Society, organize the 2007 - Righas Charta Year. |
